QUALITY SINGLE ACCOUNTABILITY CONTINUUM (QSAC)
Once every three years public school districts in New
Jersey are required to undergo monitoring by the New
Jersey Department of Education.
The New Jersey Department of Education has created a
process for school districts who were designated as “high
performing” districts during their previous monitoring to
apply for and receive an equivalency waiver that provides
approved districts with a three year extension.
QSAC MONITORING PROCESS
There are five (5) areas which are assessed as District Performance
- Instruction and Program
- Fiscal Management
Monitoring Process includes a self-evaluation and on-site monitoring by the Monmouth County Department of Education. School districts must achieve a minimum score of at least 80% in each area to pass QSAC monitoring and be designated as a “high performing” school district.
Colts Neck Township Schools was monitored and determined by the New Jersey Department of Education to be a "high performing school district.
N.J.A.C. 6A:30-3.1(a)-(d) and 3.2 require the district to complete
a District Performance Review for all five components of QSAC. The Department of Education established an equivalent process
that allows high performing districts to demonstrate continued
compliance with QSAC regulations. This equivalent process involved the Department’s review of the
district’s 2015-2016 QSAC Statement of Assurance and analysis
of other critical QSAC indicators in each of the five mandated
areas. Southampton successfully met these requirements. Our district's NJQSAC Statement of Assurance and Summary Score for the 2015-16 school year can be accessed below:
