COLTS NECK TOWNSHIP BOARD OF EDUCATION
VACANCY
The Colts Neck Township Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates for membership to the Board. The Board, within the powers delegated to it by law, is the policy-making legislative branch of the School District.
This term will run until January 2025. The position will be placed on the ballot at the November 2024 General Election.
Board Member Qualifications:
- A citizen of the United States of America.
- A resident of the Colts Neck Township municipality for at least (1) year immediately preceding the member’s election or appointment.
- Able to read and write.
- Registered to vote in the District and not disqualified from voting pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1
- Not disqualified from membership for the conviction of a crime or offense listed in N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1.
- Cannot concurrently hold office of Mayor or a member of the governing body of Colts Neck Township.

Letters of interest, resumes and Certification of Qualifications will be accepted through Wednesday, July 24, 2024, until 4:00 p.m.
The Board of Education will review all qualifying applicants. Interviews may be conducted in public or executive session during the July 31, 2024 Board meeting. The Board of Education anticipates an appointment at the August 14, 2024 Board meeting. The successful candidate will need to undergo a criminal background check upon appointment.
